The High-Level Problem

Personal Training Is Broken

And the existing software perpetuates it — for the people paying for training, and for the people delivering it.

Clients

Thousands spent on sessions of variable quality, with no lasting knowledge built.

Clients

Inaccessible pricing locks out those who need training most.

Trainers

A $24.50/hour median in Vancouver — and at Equinox, everything that isn’t a completed session pays about $18.25/hour.

Trainers

Burnout and high turnover disrupt continuity of care.

Software

The existing software perpetuates every one of these problems without offering an alternative. It hands trainers an empty container and calls it a platform.

The model fails to deliver, on all sides.

The Competition

Fitness Coaching Software Today Is Fragmented

We captured and inventoried every screen of 13 competing platforms. White-label tools lack methodology. AI coaches lack accountability. Premium D2C platforms don't scale trainer capacity. Corporate wellness lacks fitness-specific progression.

White-label coach platforms

TrueCoach, MyPTHub, Trainerize, EverFit, PT Distinction, QuickCoach — neutral containers. The methodology is whatever the coach brings.

Method-led coaching

Future, Physitrack, Caliber — and Spero. Physitrack is the closest, and it still averages a reported pain score away instead of acting on it.

Loggers and generators

Hevy, Fitbod — logging and generation without a coach or a method.

Method-led algorithms

RP Strength, Juggernaut AI — strong methodology, no human accountability.

Where We Win

Spero Resolves Core Tradeoffs In Fitness Coaching

Scale vs. Accountability

AI scales, humans don't.

Human coaches operating within a standardized system and foundation.

Personalization vs. Consistency

Coach-led programs vary widely.

Informed, evidence-based progression applied by experts.

Outcomes vs. Economics

D2C pricing doesn't work for employers.

White-label B2B2C delivery at employer price points.

The Opportunity

A $90B Global Market, Starting With $17B In North America

We size our share from the bottom up — from what a Spero client actually pays today, not from a slice of someone else’s market report.

$550Average revenue per client, per month — measured across our current book, against fitness apps at $10–40.
27Clients one practitioner carries on the Spero system, against 15 delivered manually today.
$178kRecurring revenue per practitioner, at that rate.
~950Practitioners to reach a $170M serviceable obtainable market, over 5–7 years across B2C, B2B and enterprise clinics.

The $550 is measured. The 27-client book is our base capacity case — we run 15 per practitioner manually today.

What The Numbers Mean

Every program client has stayed past month six, with relationships running to four years — in a category where 3–5% monthly churn is normal. Each client has produced roughly 1.5 more paying clients, which puts our effective acquisition cost at $182 against a $455 paid benchmark. Contribution LTV to CAC is 18.6× at plan, and still clears the 3× benchmark at a $2,800 acquisition cost.
